I’m here in the LG Display booth looking at their microLED demonstrator. This setup uses two 22-inch panels that slide together to create a larger display, or they can be tiled in various configurations.

Key details:

• Zero-bezel design: Panels join seamlessly without visible seams.
• Pixel pitch: 0.78 mm
• Resolution per panel: 480 × 540
• Brightness: 300 nits (typical), 1,700 nits (peak)

Achieving a zero-bezel connection is challenging because electrical contacts usually need to be routed around the panel edges. LG has managed to make this connection extremely thin and seamless, allowing the panels to fit together without any visible gap—a significant accomplishment.

LG plans to commercialize this technology soon.
