Proposed Display Touchscreen Report Outline

There are many different types of touchscreen technologies available for use with displays including Capacitive, Resistive (multiple flavors), SAW, GAW, Infrared, Projected Capacitive, Force sensing, Dispersive, and more.

Which technology is best for which application?
How do you choose the best technology?
How do you spec the touchscreen performance?
How do you choose the right supplier?
Where are the cost and performance of various technologies headed?
What are the trends in manufacturing?
What are the hazards of "knock-off" versions of the technology?

Addition information will focus on providing a detailed explanation of the performance of each major technology, strengths, weaknesses, how is it produced, reasons for high or low cost as well as requirements for electronics, drivers and software support. We also plan to include an industry listing and company profiles.

2) Markets and Applications

These touchscreen technologies can be used with LCD, PDP, and other displays in a variety of applications including public access, point of sale, point of information, industrial control, commercial control, consumer appliances, handheld devices, pen computing, automotive applications, gaming, electronic whiteboarding, niche applications, hybrid applications (touch & membrane), etc.
