About the Author

Bernard Mendiburu is a stereographer and digital cinema engineer working with feature animation studios in Los Angeles, where his credits include “Meet The Robinsons” and “Monsters vs Aliens.” He has lectured and presented workshops on 3D cinema at 3D Biz-Ex, Laïka (Coraline) and CalArt's Experimental Animation department. Bernard presented papers on 3D Workflow at the 2009 SPIE Stereoscopic Displays and Applications Conference and NAB's 2009 Digital Cinema Summit. Later this year, Bernard will present a two-day workshop on 3D Post Production at the Dimension3 conference.

Bernard Mendiburu is also a Senior 3D Cinema Analyst with Insight Media and was a member of the SMPTE 3D Task Force. His latest work covers the new artistic dimension of depth opened by the digital production pipelines.
